Mike had booked this hunt a few years ahead of time. Each time we got to see each other at the shows he reminded us he wanted a monster ibex. He had hunted with us once before and collected the new #1 Blandford urial. So, we knew his expectations were going to be bigger than ever. The area we chose for him was a good one. Although the animals were showing some indications of rut it was almost finished in this area. So we didn’t see too many billies. There was one animal we saw every day, of which we could have shot at anytime. This Ibex would have made a darn good trophy on anyone’s wall but we kept passing in hopes of finding something bigger. The patience payed off since we scored with this 55” Bezoar on the fourth day into the hunt. It was right after our 50 incher walked out on us and disappeared into thin air only to temporarily leave us broken hearted.
